It feels like I looked up from my desk, and suddenly it was June! With Mr. Justice busy studying for the bar exam and business better than ever, May passed in such a rush I barely realized. I can only hope to find myself as pleasantly occupied every year.

In fact, just this last week there was an article written about my little firm in the May issue of L.A. Law Weekly, following my defense of Mr. Kinsley. The author, a certain Penn Leaks, complimented me on my victory and even referred to Gavin & Co. as "the most sought-after defense firm in the state, and with good reason." Never would I have dreamed of getting such an endorsement by the esteemed Mr. Leaks, and my gratitude is immense. I only hope I can live up to the expectations.

I'm a bit old to be tacking words of praise onto my refrigerator, but a frame seems a bit much. I'll have to find some tasteful way of preserving the mention...
